SeedBasis for ChatGPT

Read your reports, and edit them if you allow it, without leaving ChatGPT.

  1. Copy the SeedBasis address

You paste this into ChatGPT in the next step.

  2. Add it in ChatGPT

Open Settings, then Connectors, then Create. Paste the address and call it SeedBasis.

  3. Sign in and ask

Sign in to SeedBasis and allow the connection. Then ask about any of your reports.

Using Claude Code or Codex? is a step shorter.

Things to ask once it is connected

What comes back is your own research, with every claim linked to the evidence behind it.

What it can do

  • List your reports and read any one of them: the overview, a whole section, or one finding with the quotes and sources behind it.
  • Search across every report you have, by a word in a claim.
  • Follow a citation to the page it came from.
  • Read the documents you attached in a SeedBasis chat, a part at a time, as your own information.
  • Edit a report, if you allow it: write and rewrite text, highlight, add notes, tick things off and add pages of your own.

What it cannot do

  • Start a report or spend a credit. Reports are started in SeedBasis, by you.
  • Change the research. What the research found is kept whatever an assistant writes over it, and the original is always in Archives.
  • Delete your own pages. That stays in the app.
  • Reach anyone else's reports. Every request is tied to one signed-in account, and a connection you remove stops working at once.

Questions

Your own reports and nothing else: findings with their evidence, sources, charts, your notes and the documents you attached in SeedBasis. Every request is tied to your signed-in account, and nobody else's reports are reachable.

Only if you allow it. Reading and editing are separate permissions. When editing is on, every change is marked as made by an assistant, appears in the page's history, and is undone in one click. The research itself is always kept in Archives.

No. Reports are started in SeedBasis, by you. Nothing an assistant does can spend money.

Anything that speaks MCP: ChatGPT, Claude, Lovable, Grok, Cursor, VS Code, Claude Code, Codex, OpenClaw, Hermes and the Gemini CLI are written up above, and Cursor and VS Code add it in one click. Others connect the same way, by signing in or with a personal token in an Authorization header.

In Settings, Connections. Removing an assistant or revoking a token stops it at once.

No. Connecting an assistant costs nothing and uses no credits: your account can make 1,000 calls a month from connected assistants, counted from the first of each month. What the assistant itself costs is between you and its maker.
