Accessibility
The accessibility standard SeedBasis builds to, where it falls short, and how to tell us about a barrier.
Last updated 2 October 2026 · Markdown version
Effective 28 September 2026. We want anyone to be able to research an idea with SeedBasis, including people who use a screen reader, a keyboard, magnification, voice control or other assistive technology.
1. The standard we build to
We build SeedBasis to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 at level AA.
2. How far we are
Conformance status: not yet fully assessed. On 2 October 2026 we checked every page with automated tests against WCAG 2.2 A and AA, in light and dark mode, went through every page with a keyboard alone, and fixed what those checks found. Automated tests find only part of what WCAG asks, and no one has yet reviewed the whole site by hand or with a screen reader, so we do not claim that it conforms.
3. What we do
- Pages use real headings, lists, tables with column headers, and form fields with labels.
- We design every control to work with a keyboard, with a visible focus outline that is never hidden under the bar at the top of the screen.
- A Skip to content link comes first on every page, so a keyboard reaches the page itself without passing every menu.
- Error messages are announced to screen readers when they appear.
- Charts are drawn from findings, and the finding behind each value can be opened as text.
- The site has light and dark modes, and text reflows when you zoom.
- Every public page also has a plain Markdown version, linked at the top of the page.
4. Known problems
- Drawings made with the pen are hidden from screen readers and have no text description, and drawing needs a mouse, a finger or a stylus.
- Citation numbers inside a sentence are smaller than 24 by 24 pixels, which WCAG 2.2 allows for a link within a sentence.
5. Parts run by other companies
- Payment happens on Stripe's payment page and, after it, on Link's order pages, which Stripe controls.
- The bot check on sign-up, password reset and some sign-ins is Cloudflare Turnstile. If it stops you, email support@seedbasis.com and we will help you another way.
- Sign in with Google and Sign in with Apple use pages those companies control.
6. Tell us about a barrier
If any part of SeedBasis is hard or impossible for you to use, email support@seedbasis.com with the page and what happened. We reply within 5 business days and, while we fix the problem, give you the information or service another way where we can.
7. If you are not satisfied
In the European Union, the European Accessibility Act covers some online services. As a microenterprise, SeedBasis may be exempt from its requirements for services, but we build to WCAG 2.2 AA regardless. If our reply does not solve the problem, you can contact the consumer or accessibility authority where you live.
