# Acceptable Use Policy

> What you may not use SeedBasis for, the rules our AI providers require, and how we handle misuse.

Last updated: 2026-10-22. Canonical page: https://seedbasis.com/legal/acceptable-use

Effective 28 September 2026. This policy is part of our [Terms of Service](https://seedbasis.com/legal/terms). It covers everything you do with SeedBasis: the ideas and answers you submit, SeedBasis Agent, connected assistants and access tokens, and how you use reports.

## 1. Ideas we will not research

Do not use SeedBasis to research, plan or promote:

- Anything illegal where you are or where you plan to operate, or designed to help others break the law.
- Weapons capable of mass harm, including biological, chemical, nuclear and radiological weapons, and explosives.
- Anything that sexualises or exploits children, or enables human trafficking or sexual exploitation.
- Fraud, scams, money laundering or evading sanctions.
- Malware, breaking into systems, or collecting passwords or personal data without permission.
- Tracking, monitoring or profiling people without their knowledge, or gathering information to harass, stalk, expose or intimidate someone.
- Violence, terrorism, or hatred against people because of who they are.
- Deceptive content such as deepfakes of real people, fake reviews or coordinated disinformation, or interference with elections.
- Products that depend on infringing someone else's intellectual property, such as copying another company's content or trade secrets.

## 2. How you may not use the service

- Do not share your account, resell access to it, or create accounts automatically or in bulk.
- Do not get around credits, allowances or limits, for example by opening extra accounts or replaying requests.
- Do not probe, scan or test the security of SeedBasis, except as our [vulnerability disclosure policy](https://seedbasis.com/security) allows.
- Do not disrupt the service: no flooding it with requests, bypassing the bot check, or trying to reach anyone else's data.
- Do not try to make the agent or a connected assistant ignore its rules, reveal its instructions or act outside your own reports, including by hiding instructions in your content.
- Do not use automated tools to access the app, other than an assistant connected through our MCP server.
- Do not use reports or other output from the service to develop or train AI models without our written permission.

## 3. Using reports responsibly

- Reports are AI-generated research. Do not present a report, or any part of one, to others as professional legal, financial, tax or investment advice.
- If you use a report's legal or financial content in something that affects other people, such as material for investors or customers, have a qualified professional review it first, and say that AI helped produce it.
- Do not use reports to make automated decisions about individuals, such as whether someone gets credit, a job, housing or insurance.
- People and companies named in reports appear because they are in public sources. Use what reports say about them lawfully and fairly.

## 4. Our AI providers' rules

SeedBasis runs on AI models from Google and xAI, and on an open model run for us by Fireworks AI and Together AI, all reached through OpenRouter. Their rules apply to what you ask of the service: [Google's Generative AI Prohibited Use Policy](https://policies.google.com/terms/generative-ai/use-policy), [xAI's Acceptable Use Policy](https://x.ai/legal/acceptable-use-policy), [Fireworks AI's terms](https://fireworks.ai/terms-of-service), [Together AI's terms](https://www.together.ai/terms-of-service) and [OpenRouter's terms](https://openrouter.ai/terms). Where this policy and those rules differ, the stricter one applies. The providers' safety systems may decline some requests automatically. When that happens, the affected step fails openly rather than giving you a weaker answer.

## 5. Reporting misuse or illegal content

Reports are private to their owner, but if you believe someone is using SeedBasis unlawfully, or that content we store is illegal, tell us at support@seedbasis.com. Explain what you found and why you believe it is unlawful, say where it is as precisely as you can, and give your name and email address. You do not need to identify yourself to report child sexual abuse material.

We confirm that your notice arrived, assess it carefully, and tell you what we decided. If we become aware of information suggesting a crime that threatens someone's life or safety, we inform the authorities where the law requires.

## 6. What happens if this policy is broken

- Depending on how serious it is, we may decline or stop a report, remove content, revoke connected assistants or tokens, or suspend or close the account.
- Temporary limits, such as rate limits and paused password sign-in, apply automatically to protect the service. Any other restriction is decided by a person.
- When we restrict your account or content, we tell you what we did and why, unless the law or someone's safety prevents it. You can ask us to review the decision at support@seedbasis.com, and you can also go to court.
- If we close an account for a serious breach, unused credits are not refunded, unless the law requires a refund.
